We drew the inspiration for our logo from the Helios Crown, worn by Helios, the Greek sun god. A modern day depiction of the Helios Crown can be seen adorning the Statue of Liberty. In fact, the Colossus of Rhodes was the inspiration for Lady Liberty. The Colossus of Rhodes was a towering bronze monument to Helios, standing guard at the entrance to the harbor on the Island of Rhodes. The people of Rhodes constructed the Colossus in 304 BC to symbolize the unity of the three city-states on Rhodes. The monument was a beacon of prosperity, guiding sailors safely through the Mediterranean. The Colossus of Rhodes is regarded as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
